Slide 1
Water Quality
Testing

BCRAGD has an in-house water quality monitoring program in which field technicians sample the water quality of the Medina River, Medina Lake, and its tributaries quarterly to assess E.coli concentrations. During the summer months (June-August), water quality samples are taken biweekly in order to provide current and quality information to the public for recreational purposes.

Slide 2
Laboratory
Services

BCRAGD offers water quality testing to the public Monday – Thursday during regular business hours. Sample bottles must be picked up at the office. Once collected, they need to be brought back as soon as possible (within one hour). For the most accurate results, it is recommended that samples be put on ice before returning them to the office. Results can be mailed through USPS, sent through email, or dictated over the phone.

Slide 3
Well Permitting
Requirements

A permit shall be required for all wells drilled in the District except for registered wells. Also, all existing wells in the County which do not meet the requirements of a registered/exempt well must be permitted.
