Our District prioritizes providing the public with educational opportunities to address their natural resource concerns, emphasizing water quality and water conservation best management practices.

Rainspotters Program

Bandera County community volunteers keep a daily record of rainfall amounts collected in a gauge provided by BCRAGD at their respective residence. Quarterly, volunteers submit a Rainfall Monitoring Report tothe BCRAGD office, where it is compiled into a database for reference, to many hydrological investigations, including seasonal trends such as droughts floods, river flows and more.If interested in becoming a rain spotter for Bandera County call the Office at (830) 796-7260 or email lthomas@bcragd.org.
